This is my first blog post! I am excited to share the content I make in the future with the data science world.

Purpose of the Blog

Like many introverted science and engineering types, I don’t default to transmitting my thoughts and ideas in a public setting. My hope with this blog is to showcase my interests and experience from a decade-long career in data science. If I can join the many other talented, experienced voices in this space by starting a discussion on a topic, inspiring more junior data scientists, or just creating interesting content, I would be extremely happy. I think my unique background starting in physics and joining a successful early stage startup in a highly regulated industry will be helpful in accomplishing this.

What to Expect

At the start of this journey, I am committing to doing a monthly technical blog post exploring some area of machine learning through a small project. Where possible, I want to include my own passions for photography, music, and language learning as themes. I plan to post these on my LinkedIn and drive community engagement. Beyond that, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. Any feedback on these initial posts is highly appreciated! I’m looking forward to seeing what comes of this effort.
